How to Have a Stress Free Christmas

We are deep into the Christmas season and although Jesus is the Reason for the Season it tends to be one of the most stressful, so I thought I would share some tips to remain stress free this Christmas.

Set an intention for this holiday season… it can be as broad or specific as you wish, but take a moment to consider how you’d like to spend this time and where you want to focus your time and energy. This simple action creates awareness and will help you prioritize

Be okay with Good Enough…don’t always go for bigger and better do what you can. It will be okay, I promise.

Spending all your money may make for a good Christmas, but it makes for a terrible New Year. Do what your pockets will allow after you pay Peter and Paul.

Focus on what’s most important…life is busy and everyone knows it they will understand. You can’t do everything, and that’s okay.

Smell Lemons…researchers have shown lemon scents instantly boost your mood.

Do something that makes you happy…don’t forget to treat yourself while you are working on everyone else’s gifts.

Take time to do nothing. Even a few restful moments in between activities, or at the end of the night, can reduce stress and improve awareness and mood. Remember: Doing nothing doesn’t mean checking email or chatting on the phone.

Watch Hallmark Christmas movies! They make everything better.

Remember to enjoy this holiday…go look at the Christmas lights with friends and/or family, enjoy all the good food and just chill. Life is to be enjoyed not stressed…don’t let the holidays take you out.

Love y’all mean it and Merry Christmas!
