Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in love, life and everything in between. Hope you have a nice stay!

Now That the glitter has settled

I have been forty for almost two months now and so far so good. If you follow me on social media then you know my birthday month was amazing. I don’t think I could have planned it out any better. I know for sure that I am really loved and blessed with the most amazing friends and family.

I started this journey to forty because I wanted my forties to be completely different than my thirties. My thirties were full of what if’s, woe is me, why not me, what is going to happen next week, next month or next year. I want my forties to be full of simply living and enjoying the moment.

For some people this probably sounds easy but for someone like me who has had their whole life planned out...and it still hasn’t happened, it’s not an easy task. Check out this post if you would like to see the life I planned My Plan.

I have a plan to make sure that I achieve this goal. My plan is to wake up every day and tell myself I am going to be happy and then do everything in my power to make sure I achieve this goal. That means cutting out all negativity…negative people and negative situations. The power of life and death is in the tongue so I’m also working hard on only letting positive things come out of my mouth.

I plan to Live, Laugh, & Love in my forties. I am also trying to step out of my comfort zone…baby stepping it for sure LOL! Example…I always feel like I need to cover my thighs, but I have purchased two outfits that show a little thigh and guess what; I have worn both and I didn’t die. Look at that!

All I know is, life is all about choices and I am working hard to choose happiness every day. I want to find my happy and live in it. For years my happy has looked like a husband, 2.5 kids and a house with a white picket fence and although this is still possible I can’t continue to hold my happiness until it happens. So, right now, at this moment I choose a new happy and it is simply taking the pressure off of myself and just living.
