Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in love, life and everything in between. Hope you have a nice stay!

Cuffing Season is Coming

Per Merriam-Webster…Cuffing season refers to a period of time where single people begin looking for short-term partnerships to pass the colder months of the year. Cuffing season usually begins in October and lasts until just after Valentines Day.

Arghhhh…cuffing season!

Arghhhh…cuffing season!

Yep, it’s that time of year again and I have no one to cuff AGAIN. Insert one of Kim Kardashian’s crying memes. LOL! Being single sucks for me, but this time of year it’s even worse and you add Covid. OMGGGGG! WHYYYYYYY????

I try not to be all woe is me. I mean y’ll know I’m single, but this time of year gets to me. We typically stay in more as it gets colder, but with Covid we really aren’t going anywhere. Well, those of us that are responsible. So I’m going to be in this house all alone this cuffing season watching Hallmark movies. Somebody help me. LOL! But I’m serious.

“Cuffing season is when people start to want to be tied down in a serious relationship,” says licensed clinical psychologist Dara Bushman, PsyD. “The cold weather and lack of outdoors and sunshine causes singles to become lonely and desperate.”

Look the psychologist said it, so you know it’s real. Although I’m not desperate as I continue to swipe left on these dating apps. They are sooo bad. Clearly I still have my pride! Amen.

I need a hobby and I need one asap! Yes, I blog, but I need more unless y’all want a whole bunch of woe is me post during cuffing season. I’m just saying. I really have to find something to take my mind off not having anyone to cuff with.

Here’s the thing being single is not horrible and I am enjoying my life but it would be nice to have someone to share it with and during cuffing season it’s loud. So loud. When I started this blog being single was tearing me up and I wasn’t living. Just focused on finding a husband and having a baby. Now I still want those things, but I learned how to want them, but still live my life.

I also think Covid makes it worse. If you live alone and are only running out for quick errands, you have to much time to think. And the dating apps will depress you. Based on the dating apps, my future bae is not in Nashville or surrounding areas. Insert another Kim K. crying meme. LOL!

So basically, this time of year sucks, and I’m probably going to be a little sad and y’all are probably going to get more woe is me post. But I will balance it with some fun stuff and cute clothes. Plus Christmas is coming so I’m definitely celebrating my fave holiday. I’m not that sad.

Thanks for reading my first of many woe is me post this cuffing season. And who knows I just might get cuffed before it’s over. Just saying!
