MY WORD FOR 2021 — Crowned CaNesha

I hope your 2021 is off to a great start. I debated about choosing a word this year because to be honest, I chose one last year and well you know how 2020 went so I didn’t really focus on it, but then I thought 2021 is a new year, new beginnings and new blessings so 2020 who? My focus is only 2021.

Then I began throwing words out and trying to figure out how I wanted to feel in 2021 and so my word for 2021 is…insert drum roll…JOY!

Joy: The emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires.

Why joy? I want that feeling every day. 2020 was hard, life in general is hard at times. Work can be hard, relationships or lack thereof can be hard. Most days we all face something that can change our attitude for the worse and unfortunately for me once that happens it ruins my whole day. And that needs to change NOW. I need to stop letting what many times are small things get in the way of my happiness. Periodt Pooh!

My plan is to find joy every day. Even if it is as simple as I remembered to eat lunch or my coffee was extra yummy. I think if I start finding joy in each day eventually I will not sweat the small stuff. Hopefully!

So now accountability…I plan to share in my Instagram stories everyday what I found joy in. Is this going to be easy? Probably not, but when I started this blog the point was to find my happy and I feel like I’ve detoured a bit. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I’m not happy and over here in a woe is me land, but the point of living is to keep growing and figuring out ways to make myself better. So for 2021 I want to find joy every single day.
